On July 1, Jean-Patrice Netter, President and Founder of DIAGMA, presented the innovative concept and principles of the “Green Wave” during a webinar on the Supply Chain Village stage. This method speeds up production and supply chain flows by avoiding intermediate product inventories between each stage, thanks to better end-to-end synchronization. David Baechelen, Supply Chain Director at Hermès Parfums & Beauté, and Paride Carpineta, Manager at DIAGMA, detailed the pilot implemented at HERMES PARFUMS & BEAUTE, and the results obtained.Want to know how to implement this innovative method? What steps should be taken? What tools should be used? What are the benefits? Watch the webinar replay below to find out.

Onde Verte: what does it mean?
Just as a vehicle would drive through all the junctions on a boulevard in a row, with all the lights on green as it passed, the aim of this synchronized planning method is to create virtual lines so that all the manufacturing stages of a product follow one another without stopping. Thus, by planning production according to this method, with appropriate software to take account of constraints, there are no unnecessary waits, and no work-in-progress to compensate for delays. Plans are stable, and production capacity can be regained through better capacity allocation.
Promises kept!
Reduce manufacturing lead times by a factor of 2 to 10, eliminate dormant stocks between workshops, and regain vat room capacity? That’s what DIAGMA proposed to HERMES PARFUMS & BEAUTE, by implementing the “Green Wave” concept… And the pilot project has more than lived up to its promise:
- a 2/3 reduction in the number of tanks used to make 20 juices,
- a halving of flow times, which enabled us to regain production capacity in the cuverie,
- easy resynchronization of the plan, which is 90% reliable, allowing the operator to concentrate on resolving problems.
